explains how we aim to maintain a working environment where people are able to raise concerns where they think there is misconduct or malpractice.
About the policy
We recognise that sometimes employees, councillors or stakeholders working with or on behalf of us may not feel able to express concerns they have. This may be because they feel that speaking up would be disloyal to their colleagues or to the council, or they may fear harassment or victimisation.
We are committed to the highest possible standards of openness, probity and accountability. In line with that commitment we expect and support those who have serious concerns about any aspect of the council's work to come forward and voice those concerns.
This policy is intended to help people to raise any concerns they may have.
