Wedding room available for hire
A wedding room is available for hire at the Council Offices in Saffron Walden.
The Flitch Room
The Flitch Room is available for smaller weddings and civil partnership ceremonies and can accommodate up to 14 guests, making it ideal for more intimate ceremonies
The venue also boasts a glazed atrium with a sweeping staircase, and a lawn area in front of the historic grade II listed building making it perfect for post wedding photos.
What it costs
We have two rates for hiring the Flitch Room:
- Monday-Thursday hirings cost £240 including VAT
- Friday hirings cost £330 including VAT

Arrange a registrar
For your wedding or civil partnership to be legal, you'll need to have a registrar present. Essex County Council runs the registrar service.
