Refugee offers of help Privacy Notice
This privacy notice is provided for clarification on what information and personal data about you the council may need to collect when you make an offer of help for refugees in our area.
Personal data refers to any information with which a living individual can be identified. Individual identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with other information in the possession of the 'The Authority
As a public authority, we take your rights and freedoms seriously and will only release information when required under law or with your consent. Information we may collect
When you make an offer of help for refugees in our area we will collect your:
- name
- address and postcode
- telephone number
- email address
- other information about your offer of help, such as the address of any accommodation you are offering, if different from your home address
Sharing your information
We may share this information with:
- other departments of the council
- other district or borough councils
- Essex County Council
- government departments and agencies
- voluntary services
Keeping your information
The council will only keep your information for as long as necessary. Full details of how long the council retains your information can be found in the council's Document retention schedules for all services (PDF) [1MB] . After this time your information will be securely destroyed.
