Residents of Saffron Walden invited to take part in Clean Air Survey

Uttlesford District Council is working in collaboration with Global Action Plan and MP Smarter Travel to find out more about the issues concerning residents of Saffron Walden and what they think about air quality.

The survey, which opened this week, asks about how you currently travel around the area and heat your home and should take less than five minutes to complete.  The survey is open until Sunday 24 September and responses will help inform the council's work to improve air quality for everyone who lives or works in Saffron Walden. Participants can also enter a draw to win one of three £100 vouchers on completion of the survey.

Cllr Richard Freeman, who is part of the Saffron Walden Clean Air Steering Group said "We want to understand residents' concerns and how they feel about air pollution in Saffron Walden.

"I encourage everyone who lives or works in the town to take part in this survey so that we can get a clear picture of feeling and habits locally. There are no right or wrong answers and your participation is entirely voluntary.

"The short and long-term health effects of poor-quality air are clear but entirely preventable. We can all make changes which would improve the quality of the air we breathe."
