Sign up for the garden waste collection service
You can order a new or replacement garden waste bin and set up regular garden waste collections.
Your garden waste bin will be collected every 2 weeks.
The service is suspended for 4 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.
We collect bins in the north of the district and the south of the district on different weeks. We'll tell you when your bins will be collected when you sign up.
We are temporarily not taking any new garden waste customers while we change our collection rounds.
We apologise for any inconvenience and will update this page as soon as the service resumes for new customers.
Our service will continue as normal for existing customers.
If you have not yet renewed your subscription, you can still sign up to have your garden waste bin collected.
Your subscription will cover you for all collections from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
The service costs £50 for the year.
If you receive Local Council Tax Support (LCTS) you will be eligible for a 25 percent reduction on the service charge. This will mean that you just need to pay £37.50.
⚠ There's no discount if you renew your subscription part of the way through the year.
If you renew in October, you will need to pay £50 (or £37.50 for LCTS claimants). You will still only get your garden waste collected until 31 May 2024.
You can pay to renew your garden waste subscription:
- by phone
- by cheque
What happens next
After you have paid it can be up to 2 weeks before your bin will be collected. This is because we need to add your property back onto the collections round list.
You can cancel your garden waste collections if you no longer require the service.
There's no refund if you cancel the service within the subscription period.
To cancel the service, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
