Pay for garden waste collection service: new customers

How to pay for a subscription to the garden waste service if you are a new customer.

You can sign up now to have your garden waste collected from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.

What is costs

The garden waste service costs £50 for new customers.


If you receive Local Council Tax Support (LCTS) you will be eligible for a 25 percent reduction on the service charge. This will mean that you just need to pay £37.50.

You will need to provide your claim number. If you are unsure of your claim number you can call us 01799 510510 or using an alternative methods via our contact us page.


All new customers also need to purchase a garden waste bin from us. This costs £30.

There is no discount on the cost of a bin.

Our online payments system is not available from 17:25 to 17:40 every day.

Please enter:

  • Reference - NEW CUSTOMER
  • Amount - amount payable
  • Description - benefit claim number if applicable


Pay by credit or debit card

By phone

You will need to call us on 01799 510510 if you want to pay over the phone using your debit card or credit card.

In person

You can also pay by credit or debit card at the reception at our London Road Offices in Saffron Walden.

Pay by cheque

Please ensure that you include your name and address with your cheque. You will then need to send it to us at:
