Search for, object or comment on an application
You can search for, view, object to or comment on any planning application online. You will also be able to see application forms, plans, decision notices, appeal documents and other document submitted as a part of the application. Please note that any comments made will be available publicly. However, we take steps to ensure personal phone numbers, personal emails and signatures are not viewable.
Making your comments
Our planning system has a time limit on each session. If you are making a number of responses to an application you might like to consider putting your comments together beforehand and then copying and pasting them into the online form.

Guidance on what issues can be considered
When the Council receives a planning application for development, it has to decide whether to grant or refuse planning permission. Residents and businesses can submit any comments that they would like the Council to take into account when it makes its decision about the application.
Plans, drawings and material submitted to the council are protected by the copyright acts (section 47, 1988). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without prior permission of the copyright owner.
You can find out if a decision has been made on a planning application by using the application search facility. Any decision will be shown in the Status box. Supporting documents, such as Decision Notices are viewable from the Documents tab. It is also possible to search for decisions by using the Advanced Search option. Enter the appropriate Reference Numbers or Application Details and select the decision option from the drop down menu in the Status box. You can then search for all decisions for a single application or those in a given area.
