Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report (2021)
The scoping report represents the first stage in the Sustainability Appraisal process. Its purpose is to identify the scope and level of detail of the information to be included in the Sustainability Appraisal report, which will assess the extent to which the new Local Plan will promote sustainable development.
Typically, this consultation would be limited to a small number of statutory consultation bodies. However, the Council is keen to give everyone the opportunity to comment and hopes that the innovative digital report platform deployed by its consultants, AECOM, will provide an easier way to understand and comment upon the material.
The digital report provides a new, user-friendly way of understanding the information, and includes a built-in feedback button to submit comments.
Alternatively, a PDF Report (PDF) [8MB] can be downloaded. Comments should then be emailed to localplan@uttlesford.gov.uk with the subject title: 'Comments on Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report'
Paper and other formats can be provided on request, as necessary. In addition to email, the following contact methods can be used:
Post - Local Plan and New Communities Team, Uttlesford District Council, London Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 4ER
Telephone - 01799 510510
You can also get in touch with us using alternative methods via our contact us page.
The consultation will run for six weeks, until Wednesday 22 September 2021.
