Safeguarding
We all have a part to play in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults in the district.
We take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and whilst we do not have a statutory responsibility for child protection (this is the responsibility of Essex County Council) we must help to keep children safe and well in our district. We follow the Southend, Essex &Thurrock (SET) Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedures and the Southend, Essex &Thurrock (SET) Safeguarding Adults Guidelines.
