Draft Local Plan (Regulation 18) Consultation
This consultation is on the first draft of our new Local Plan for Uttlesford (Regulation 18).
The Draft Plan contains the vision, objectives, spatial strategy and planning policy framework which we consider will best address the challenges and make the most of opportunities which face Uttlesford now, and in the future.
It has been informed by evidence base documents which have been researching specific aspects of the Plan and emerging Council and regional strategies and area specific guidance.
This document looks and reads like a new Local Plan but it is still a work in progress.
The consultation period runs from 3 November to 5pm on 18 December 2023.
How to view the consultation documents and have your say
The easiest and quickest way for you to have your say is on the consultation portal.
Paper copies of the Draft Local Plan document are available to view at libraries and Uttlesford District Council's Offices in Saffron Walden.
A number of drop-in exhibitions have been held across the district so that residents and businesses could find out more about the proposals within the new Uttlesford Draft Local Plan.
One unstaffed information point, including display panels and maps, will be in place until 18 December 2023. Which will give an overview of the proposals and details of how to respond to the consultation.
This is available during normal opening hours at:
UDC Offices - Glazed Link
